About the Devon Rex

The Devon Rex is a small cat breed originating in United Kingdom (Devon). Adult cats typically weigh 5 to 10 pounds and live 9 to 15 years. Typical traits: curly-coat, mischievous, perch-loving, warmth-seeking.

Warm, busy homes that enjoy a cat on their shoulder. Devons are inventive, sociable and very hard to ignore. Cold homes or adopters wanting a self-contained cat. The sparse curly coat holds little warmth, so Devons seek out laps, radiators and sunny windows.

Adult Devon Rexes need about 30 minutes of daily exercise; adolescent cats typically need 40 minutes. The coat is curly-coated with low shedding, and brushing every 3 weeks keeps the coat manageable.
